First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who are seeking an Electrician to join their growing operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with experience working within commercial kitchen environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and general facilities support across a portfolio of commercial sites.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial kitchen and office environments
  • Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and complete electrical testing on a range of commercial equipment and systems
  • Conduct site inspections and identify electrical issues or potential safety concerns
  • Support installation and maintenance of lighting, power distribution, small power, and kitchen equipment
  • Ensure all electrical works are completed in line with current regulations and company standards
  • Liaise with specialist contractors and monitor works when required
  • Carry out basic general maintenance tasks where necessary, including minor repairs and facilities support duties
  • Respond promptly to maintenance callouts and minimise downtime across sites
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete relevant compliance documentation
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained at all times
  • Provide a professional and customer-focused service when interacting with clients and tenants

Skills and Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent electrical qualification
  • AM2 qualification essential
  • Proven experience working as an Electrician within commercial kitchen environments
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
  • Experience carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Good understanding of current electrical regulations and safe working practices
  • Experience using electrical testing and maintenance equipment
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Full UK driving licence desirable
