About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our client’s growing team. This role involves working within social housing environments across Birmingham, carrying out electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and repairs in both occupied and void properties. The ideal candidate will take pride in delivering high-quality work and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations in social housing properties.
- Undertake fault-finding, diagnosis, and rectification of electrical issues.
- Conduct periodic inspection, testing, and certification in compliance with current regulations.
- Ensure all work meets BS7671 Wiring Regulations and company quality standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of completed work and materials used.
- Provide excellent customer service while working in occupied homes.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, and company policies.
Essential Requirements
- ECS Electrician’s Gold Card (JIB registered) – mandatory.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Proven experience in social housing, domestic maintenance, or facilities management.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
