Role Overview
You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of renewable energy systems including solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging points. You will also provide day-to-day technical support to the electrical team, assisting with job checks, electrical surveys, and ensuring all work is delivered to the highest standard.
- Install and maintain domestic and commercial solar PV systems
- Install and commission battery storage units and EV chargers
- Carry out system checks, diagnostics, and fault-finding
- Conduct electrical surveys for upcoming installations
- Review upcoming jobs to ensure correct equipment and time allocation
- Support the office and electrical team with technical queries and fault-finding
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and H&S standards
- Represent the company professionally on site and with clients
Essential Skills Required
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a qualified electrician
- ECS Card (Gold)
- Renewable energy experience - training provided if not
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A team-focused mindset with a coaching approach to supporting others
