Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting their longstanding client with the appointment of an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join them on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of a problem‑solving engineering team who are responsible for the preventative maintenance, inspection, fault‑finding and repair of cranes & mobile plant assets. You will be required to respond to breakdowns and failures using problem‑solving techniques to return equipment back into service within tight timescales.

Skills Required:

  • Electromechanical devices such as solenoids, thrusters and actuators
  • Electric motors and drivetrains, both AC and DC up to 400kW
  • Power electronics converters such as inverters and rectifiers
  • Motor control methods: soft start, direct online, variable speed drives, resistance banks and thyristors
  • Switching devices including relays, contactors, circuit breakers and proximity switches
  • 5+ years experience working within heavy industries
  • HNC or time served route
  • Previous maintenance experience is essential
