Overview

Electrical Technician – Oxfordshire, 12-Month Contract, Inside IR35, £40.00 p/h Umbrella, Full-Time Onsite, BPSS Clearance Required.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a highly advanced engineering and scientific facility based in Oxfordshire. This role is fully onsite with no hybrid working available and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a complex industrial environment supporting a wide range of electrical systems and plant equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, fault finding and repair activities
  • Support the build and commissioning of new electrical plant and equipment
  • Work across control systems, distribution systems and power conversion systems
  • Assist with diagnostics and repairs on electrical and control equipment
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation and safe systems of work
  • Support ongoing operational and maintenance activities across the facility
  • Work closely with engineering teams and Plant Responsible Officers to ensure safe and effective delivery of work

Essential Requirements

  • C&G 2330 Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology or equivalent (ONC/HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering also considered)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Apprentice-trained with industrial electrical experience
  • Experience working on 3-phase power systems
  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience within an industrial environment

Desirable

  • Inspection and Testing qualification
  • Experience with HV/LV systems
  • Experience with control systems and power conversion equipment
