Our client has an opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join them on a contract basis until May 2027 with possible extension. You will be joining the Test Centre and will contribute to the development of architectures and specifications for data acquisition and control systems for a new test facility and several new test rigs focused on Hydrogen testing.
Role: Electrical Design Engineer - Hydrogen test facility and test rigs
Location: Filton, 60% onsite
Hours: 35 per hour
Clearance: BPSS required before starting
Hourly Rate: £50 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
What you'll be doing:
- Develop Architecture and design solutions for data acquisition and control systems.
- Develop Electrical Component electrical schematics.
- Specify Instrumentation for a range of different measurements (Pressure, Flow, Voltage, Current, etc…).
- Produce requirement and specification documentation for data acquisition and control systems.
Requirements:
- Electrical Design Tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad)
- Design experience on industrial control systems
- Understanding of Electrical design principles and Electrical systems
- Understanding of Testing principles
- Experience with electrical architecture design
- Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems.
- Knowledge of avionic data busses (A429, CAN, AFDX)
