Job Brief / Responsibilities
Purpose of the role: Manufacturing and testing of cable assemblies, sub‑assemblies and final products.
- Assemble electrical components, wiring, and sub‑assemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
- Conduct basic testing and inspection of assembled units to ensure functionality and quality compliance.
- Identify and report faults, defects, or inconsistencies in materials or processes.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members, team leader and supervisor to meet production targets.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing (but not essential).
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
