Ambitek is recruiting experienced Skilled Structural MIG Welders to join our client’s busy fabrication team in Winsford. This is a long‑term contracting opportunity offering strong rates, steady hours, and ongoing work for reliable, qualified welders.

Key Responsibilities

  • MIG welding of structural steel beams, end‑plates, and associated components.
  • Using solid wire MIG in the down‑hand position.
  • Completing 10mm T‑joint multi‑run fillet welds, including controlled start/stop techniques.
  • Working accurately from engineering drawings and welding specifications.
  • Ensuring all welds meet required quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in structural MIG welding, ideally within a fabrication workshop environment.
  • Ability to produce a high‑standard 10mm multi‑run T‑joint fillet weld.
  • Must successfully pass a trade test prior to starting.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to consistent, high‑quality workmanship.
  • Local candidates only — no accommodation provided.

Working Hours

  • Monday–Thursday: 07:45 – 16:45
  • Friday: 07:45 – 12:45
  • Overtime available after 39 hours at an enhanced rate.

Additional Information

This is a long‑term contracting role and not a permanent position.
