I'm currently working with a well-established and highly respected planning consultancy in Edinburgh that is looking to appoint a talented Town Planner to join its growing team. The Role
You'll be involved in a wide variety of projects across sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The role offers exposure to the full planning process—from early-stage appraisals through to applications, appeals, and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
- Undertaking site appraisals and planning research
- Liaising with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders
- Supporting senior colleagues on complex projects
- Contributing to business development and client relationships
About You
- Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline
- Working towards or already MRTPI qualified
- Previous experience in either consultancy or local authority
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
