Our client is a market leading Engineering company. To help maintain and grow their client base they are recruiting for a Technical Account Manager.
The Role
You will manage customer projects from cradle to grave, always maintaining and prioritising customer requirements and needs. You will be responsible for growing the existing customer base and being knowledgeable about products and services offered by the company. Your responsibilities include:
- Promoting and increasing the sales of products.
- Understanding technical drawings.
- Identifying new projects such as product development to tap into new market sectors.
- Keeping up to date with competitor and market activity in the business area.
- Creating and implementing strategy for the growth pipeline.
- Developing and implementing a structured sales plan for your customers.
- Ensuring that a comprehensive database and excellent records are maintained.
- Establishing, maintaining, and expanding your client base.
- Proactively reaching out to customers.
The Person
Previous experience in a similar role is required. You should be an excellent communicator both in written and verbal forms. An understanding of construction would be beneficial. Other requirements include:
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
- Proficient numerical skills and ability to demonstrate job costing and pricing.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- An ability to read and understand CAD drawings.
- Must have a driving licence and car.
