We are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a well‑established engineering and manufacturing business based in Dunfermline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned inspection, in‑process inspection and patrol inspection across manufacturing areas
  • Conduct final inspection of contracts prior to delivery
  • Raise NCRs where non‑conformances are identified and ensure appropriate corrective action
  • Carry out goods‑in inspection and confirm documentation is accurate and complete
  • Assist with Factory Acceptance Tests alongside customers and survey societies
  • Inspect and witness tests of equipment both on site and at supplier premises when required
  • Support the compilation of customer data books in line with project requirements
  • Ensure inspection activities are carried out in accordance with quality plans
  • Maintain accurate inspection documentation and records

Qualifications and Experience

  • Time served with at least 5 years' experience within a Quality Assurance or Engineering environment
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment and CMM equipment
  • Experience working within manufacturing or engineering environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

The successful candidate will be required to complete BPSS security clearance as part of the employment process.
