Escape Recruitment is supporting an established engineering manufacturer in Dunfermline who are looking to add a Design Engineer to their engineering team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working on customer-led projects, taking designs from concept through to manufacture, and acting as a technical link between customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design engineered solutions based on customer requirements
  • Support quotations through technical input, feasibility and costing information
  • Manage design activity across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers during development projects
  • Produce and maintain CAD models, drawings and manufacturing documentation
  • Work closely with production, purchasing and suppliers to support delivery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and design optimisation
  • Attend occasional customer or supplier meetings within the UK

Experience Required

  • HND or Degree in Mechanical related engineering discipline
  • Experience in a design or product engineering role within a manufacturing environment
