As a Logistics Distribution Planner at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to a growing waste management company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.
What will I be doing?
- Collaborate with colleagues in other SUEZ Departments throughout the UK to control the Logistics of mixed materials to our end markets and deliver continued improvements to service and cost reductions in the haulage operations.
- Be the first point of contact for haulage customers within a region.
- Source and implement cost effective haulage solutions, liaise with external haulier and arrange haulier contracts.
- Ensure haulier compliance to the contracts, obtaining prices, negotiating and market testing of work.
- Produce budgets, monitor the financial performance of the region and monitor the haulage business through the production and analysis of data.
- Work as part of a wider team covering the UK, with confidence communicating at all levels both verbally and in writing.
What are the requirements?
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of material stocks and waste flows, ensuring smooth service delivery in accordance with the customers’ requirements.
- Excellent level of administrative attention to detail to ensure accurate data is collected onto the system and an analytical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to find creative solutions to the Logistics requirements of our customers.
- In-depth knowledge of waste / recycling is advantageous; however experience in the Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Shipping industry, particularly in relation to bulk haulage and configurations of vehicles and trailer types, is needed.
- A friendly, open manner is paramount as well as good numerical, commercial and IT skills.
