We are looking to recruit for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading manufacturing engineering company based near Keighley. This provides a rare opportunity to join a leading company that is a household name within their industry, allowing you to gain exposure to a large variety of different disciplines. The main purpose of the role is to design and develop new mechanisms and machine systems to support client requirements. This may be new design creation or adaptation of existing designs.

Hours: Monday - Friday 07:45 AM - 04:00 PM (Flexitime available).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and detailing of new components and mechanisms and systems
  • Development of new processes including the use of new materials
  • Development of existing components / designs
  • Issuing of machine parts in SAP in accordance with delivery schedules
  • Liaising with sales to provide support for technical bids
  • Creating customer documentation and creating / maintaining records to client standards
  • Conduct Design reviews – DFMEA's/ PFMEA's
