The role of the Design Manager – Façade Systems will involve:
- Management and design of a high quality manufactured range of façade systems for commercial and residential sectors.
- Attend weekly design meetings virtually and undertake site visits (typically once per month) to support both external sales and internal teams, providing technical input and ensuring smooth project delivery.
- Develop detailed design specifications for products and projects.
- Lead the development, recruitment, and management of a team of technical engineers.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers and clients.
- Offer 1st line technical support by telephone, email and occasional site visits.
- Support new product launches and exhibitions as and when required.
- Review, create and analyse project/product designs.
- Support the external sales team when on client visits.
The ideal applicant will be a Design Manager – Façade Systems with:
- A demonstrable track record within the building envelope market sector whether it be façades, cladding, curtain walling etc.
- People management experience is highly advantageous.
- Excellent design experience using AutoCAD / BIM / Revit.
- Façade system experience, dealing with masonry and cladding systems is preferred.
- A technical product background, with strong experience and a solid understanding of the sector.
