About the Opportunity

JN Technical is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established structural steel fabricator operating across a variety of UK sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Connection Designer to join their engineering department on a remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled designer who can help deliver large‑scale steel structures.

Role Responsibilities

  • Produce safe, efficient, and compliant structural steel connection designs to Eurocodes/BS standards.
  • Prepare detailed calculations, sketches, and design reports for approval.
  • Collaborate with structural engineers, detailers, and fabrication teams to resolve technical queries.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and 3D models to determine connection requirements.
  • Provide technical input during tender, design, and construction phases.
  • Ensure all designs meet safety, quality, and fabrication requirements.
