Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Production to ensure the smooth transition from design to manufacture.
- Provide technical expertise across the business, supporting departments such as Sales, Service, and Production.
- Drive design and development, analyse risk, failure mode, tolerance and other project tasks.
- Design and develop products to meet customer specification and advise customers on the best design solutions.
- Take the product from conception to completion, leading design reviews whilst liaising closely with customers and suppliers.
- Comfortable working on several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Problem solving techniques (i.e. FMEA / DFMEA / Risk Analysis).
- Experience working as a Design Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using 3D modelling – SolidWorks / Autodesk Inventor.
- Solid Mechanical Engineering background.
- Previous experience working with a range of materials such as metals, steel, plastics, etc.
- Ability to analyse product performance.
