As the (Mechanical and Electrical) Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of building services projects from tender to final account. Key responsibilities include cost estimation, subcontractor procurement, valuation of works, variation management, and ensuring projects stay within budget. They work closely with project teams to mitigate risk.

  • Tendering & Procurement: Preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ), analyzing tender documents, and selecting subcontractors for M&E packages.
  • Cost Control & Management: Conducting monthly financial reviews, cost-value reconciliations (CVR), and monitoring project expenditure.
  • Contract Administration: Managing JCT or NEC contracts, handling valuations, and resolving contractual disputes.
  • Variations & Final Accounts: Identifying, valuing, and negotiating project variations (changes) and settling final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Site Coordination: Liaising with engineers and site teams to ensure MEP design aligns with cost plans.
