The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a site‑based role responsible for maintaining and supporting critical refrigeration and cooling systems across a busy operational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and supporting the smooth running of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on refrigeration and cooling systems
  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out fault‑finding and repairs
  • Diagnose equipment issues and identify appropriate solutions
  • Recommend repairs, upgrades or replacement equipment where necessary
  • Ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently and in line with relevant regulations
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately
  • Work independently whilst supporting wider operational teams when required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience working within refrigeration engineering
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience maintaining refrigeration and cooling equipment
  • Ability to manage your own workload and work proactively
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • F‑Gas certification would be advantageous
