Our client is looking for an experienced Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversee the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects.
This role is ideal for a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex engineering schemes and maintaining strong client relationships.
Responsibilities and deliverables include
- Lead the design and delivery of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, programme delivery and commercial performance.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Support business development through client engagement, proposal writing and identifying new project opportunities.
- Occasional site visits; some overnight and weekend work may be required.
Qualifications and experience required
- Hold an ICE or IStruct E accredited Civil or Structural Engineering degree.
- Be Chartered (CEng) and have experience acting as a Contractor's Responsible Engineer (CRE).
- A minimum of eight years' relevant experience.
- Excellent leadership, commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of NEC4 contracts, Sentinel PTS certification and a full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
