Rainham Steel Co Ltd, a leading UK steel stockholder, is looking for experienced operators for 16t forklifts, side‑loaders and shunter vehicles to work at our Central Distribution Depot or one of our two support sites in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.
Location: Scunthorpe, DN15 8XF
Salary: Minimum £616.25 to £801.13 per week (equivalent to £14.50 to £18.85 per hour), depending on experience.
Hours: 6:00 am – 3:30 pm, 42.5 hours per week. Flexibility for paid overtime on Saturdays (time and a half).
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Yard Manager.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Operate mobile plant such as 16t forklifts, side‑loaders and shunter vehicles.
- Receive full training in the handling and loading of sectional steel products.
- Guarantee that jobs meet required deadlines.
Candidate Requirements:
- Good product knowledge of steel sections.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn various skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic, and punctuality.
