The Opportunity
ITS Construction Professionals are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager on behalf of a well‑established residential developer.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a live housing development in Coventry, taking responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will be joining a professional project team with the potential for ongoing work for the right individual.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day‑to‑day running of a live residential development.
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with programme and quality expectations.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety across site.
- Carry out site inspections and quality checks.
- Liaise with the Contracts Manager and wider project team.
- Ensure labour, materials and plant are effectively managed.
- Drive programme performance and resolve any site issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate site records and reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the residential housebuilding sector.
- Strong background delivering new‑build housing developments.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme deadlines.
- Good knowledge of NHBC standards and current health & safety legislation.
Essential Qualifications
- SMSTS
- CSCS Black or White Card
- First Aid at Work
- Full UK Driving Licence
