Day Shift: 08:30am – 17:00pm + overtime

Hours: 40 hours per week, full time

Permanent position

£15.00 - £17.00 per hour + overtime rate

The Role

The Quality Inspector vacancy is a hands-on Inspection role, mainly manual inspection and will suit someone that enjoys technical, low-volume/high-value work.

  • You will perform dimensional inspection of machined components using manual measuring equipment.
  • Some CMM inspection when required (training can be provided).
  • You will complete inspection reports, FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) and quality documentation.
  • Maintain traceability of inspected parts and ensure correct batch identification.
  • Identify and raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) when parts fall outside specification.
  • Communicate quality issues with production, machining, and engineering teams.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience with various measurement equipment including verniers, calipers, micrometers and shadowgraph.
  • Experience within precision manufacturing industries.
  • Understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) symbols.
  • You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience with non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Experience creating inspection reports, FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports), and quality documentation.
