The Role
The Quality Inspector vacancy is a hands-on Inspection role, mainly manual inspection and will suit someone that enjoys technical, low-volume/high-value work.
- You will perform dimensional inspection of machined components using manual measuring equipment.
- Some CMM inspection when required (training can be provided).
- You will complete inspection reports, FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) and quality documentation.
- Maintain traceability of inspected parts and ensure correct batch identification.
- Identify and raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) when parts fall outside specification.
- Communicate quality issues with production, machining, and engineering teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with various measurement equipment including verniers, calipers, micrometers and shadowgraph.
- Experience within precision manufacturing industries.
- Understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) symbols.
- You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Experience creating inspection reports, FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports), and quality documentation.
