A requirement has arisen for an experienced Contract Quality Engineer to support aerospace and defence programmes within a highly regulated manufacturing environment in Warwickshire. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex engineering projects, ensuring compliance, product integrity, and continuous improvement across production and supply chain activities.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality standards, supporting both internal operations and external suppliers to meet stringent industry and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
  • Conduct internal, supplier, and process audits
  • Manage non-conformances and lead root cause investigations (8D, 5 Whys)
  • Implement and drive corrective and preventive actions
  • Support FAIRs, PPAP, and APQP activities
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience as a Quality Engineer within aerospace, defence, or similar regulated industries
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and quality management systems
  • Experience in auditing and supplier quality management
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a structured approach
  • Ability to operate independently and integrate quickly into contract roles
