About the Role
We are looking for a strong electrically-biased Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s fast‑paced food manufacturing site. The role involves managing the planned maintenance schedule and responding to breakdowns to keep downtime to a minimum, ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality checks of maintenance activities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance
- Adhere to Health and Safety Standards at all times
- Demonstrate hands‑on ownership and confidence when responding to breakdowns
- Prioritise system faults
- Accurately record work carried out
- Collaborate with colleagues
- Ensure CMMS is correctly updated
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical/Mechanical qualification, or suitable apprenticeship
- Good understanding of Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs
- Good understanding of SCADA control systems
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Good manufacturing practice knowledge
Salary and Benefits
- Annual Salary: £55,161 (inclusive of shift allowance)
