Our client, a leading energy consultancy, is on the lookout for an Energy Solutions Consultant to deliver energy and decarbonisation consulting engagements for large energy users, combining technical expertise with commercial insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver insight-led consulting using detailed energy profile analysis.
  • Identify and model tariff optimisation opportunities across supply contracts for onsite and storage solutions.
  • Advise on cost drivers (electricity/gas wholesale pricing, DUoS/TNUoS, time-of-use, etc.) and cost mitigation strategies.
  • Origination of CPPAs.
  • Ownership of Demand Flexibility (VTP) partner relationships and upsell across group client base.
  • Build strong relationships with both clients and suppliers, and stay ahead of emerging solutions.
  • Support sales and leadership teams in developing advanced, value-driven propositions and new services.
  • Engage senior stakeholders to design tailored energy strategies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in energy management or consulting (large energy users).
  • Excellent listening and consulting skills.
  • Strong understanding of energy pricing structures and optimisation strategies.
  • Experience delivering projects to senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial mindset with a consultative, client-focused approach.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with modelling tools (e.g. energy/storage) desirable.
  • Client facing experience with track record of managing and growing large customer accounts.
  • Experience influencing and aligning stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Procurement, Sustainability).
  • Analytical, ambitious, and solutions-driven.

Working Style

  • Hybrid working (typically 1 day in office, 4 remote/client-facing).
  • Occasional travel to client sites, offices, and events.
