Job Type: Permanent, Full time
Location: Cottenham office 8am-5pm 2 days a week, Wisbech office 9am-4pm 3 days a week
Salary: £62,000 - £68,000 per annum and company car allowance

Our client, a well‑known family‑run social housing contractor is currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Undertake all quantity surveying duties on the contracts.
- Direct and control all financial and legal aspects of construction contracts ensuring profitability.
- Be aware of the company's business plan and aims.
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with the client and all client’s team members.
- Prepare loss and expense claims arising from extension of time claims.
- Ensure all subcontractors are on the approved list.
- Work with the contract team to manage design on a design and build contract, ensuring changes are made for financial benefit.
- Work with the team to ensure the request for information schedule includes financial or legal elements.
- Establish procurement strategy with a schedule in line with time requirements of operational and design deliverables.
Desirable Experience
- Very high level of commercial awareness of the industry.
- Good knowledge of building law, contract law and statutory requirements.
- Understanding of financial management.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.

- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
