A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Leicester. The company specialises in delivering infrastructure and groundworks packages for major residential developments, working with housebuilders and commercial developers across the Midlands and surrounding regions. With a strong reputation for delivering projects to high standards, the business utilises modern surveying technology and machine control modelling to support efficient site operations.
Due to continued growth and project demand, they are now looking to expand their technical team by bringing in a CAD Technician / Land Surveyor to support surveying, modelling and drawing production for ongoing construction projects. This permanent position will involve working alongside experienced engineers, surveyors and project managers, supporting a range of civil engineering and groundworks projects, including site modelling, earthworks calculations, topographical surveys, machine control modelling and production of accurate AutoCAD drawings for site teams & ADTAC.
Responsibilities- Produce accurate AutoCAD drawings from survey data collected on construction sites
- Assist in the processing of survey data using N4CE and related software
- Support the creation of machine control models for earthworks and groundworks operations
- Work on topographical surveys, site plans and engineering drawings for live projects
- Assist engineers and site teams with survey information required for setting out and projects
- Prepare and maintain digital survey data and drawing files for ongoing projects
- Review and update drawings as projects progress to ensure accuracy
- Work closely with surveyors, engineers and project teams to ensure technical information is delivered efficiently
- 2+ Years’ experience using Autodesk AutoCAD for the production of a variety of surveys
- Knowledge of N4CE processing software & ADTAC / Machine Control Modelling Software
- Knowledge of the survey industry, including various land & utility surveying processes
- High quality and discipline with all surveying methods, data management and deliverables
- Ability to use your initiative, problem solve and work to deadlines
- Full UK Driving Licence
