Altrad are looking to recruit a Construction Manager / Senior Supervisor to support the delivery of works on a newly established project at Dounreay. The successful candidate will provide day‑to‑day operational management of site activities and act as the link between the Project Manager and site supervisors. The role will support the coordination of works, workforce management, and safe delivery of the project in line with programme requirements, safety standards, and client expectations. Due to the nature of the project, candidates with a scaffolding background are to support and coordinate scaffold activities across the project workforce.
Key Requirements
- Day‑to‑day management and coordination of site activities.
- Supervision, support, and effective management of supervisors and site workforce.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely and in compliance with RAMS, site procedures, and Company standards.
- Support delivery of the project programme through effective planning and daily work coordination.
- Monitor site productivity, quality performance, and operational compliance.
- Liaise effectively with the Project Manager, client representatives, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Deliver and support toolbox talks, workforce briefings, and employee engagement activities.
- Assist with planning activities, permit management, documentation and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate subcontractors and manage work interfaces where required.
- Support project reporting, progress tracking and operational updates.
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with Company HSE requirements.
- Maintain effective communication across all project stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Support continual improvement in operational performance, workforce engagement and project execution.
- Previous experience within construction, industrial, or asbestos removal environments.
- Scaffolding background and understanding of scaffold operations.
- Supervisory or management experience within site operations.
- Good communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts within a live project environment.
- Good understanding of site safety procedures, RAMS and permit systems.
- Ability to coordinate workforce activities and support operational delivery targets.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Competent IT skills and ability to complete reporting and documentation requirements.
- Nuclear or site experience desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
- Must have SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
