Vector Recruitment Solutions are working with a fast-growing business within the Heat Networks sector, who are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Gas & Plant Engineer to support the maintenance and operation of commercial energy centres and district heating systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Gas Engineer or Plant Room Engineer looking for a varied role involving PPMs, reactive repairs, fault finding and project work across large-scale commercial plant rooms.
The Role
- Planned and reactive maintenance on commercial plant equipment
- Fault finding and repair work on pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pressurisation units and pipework
- Attending reactive call‑outs to restore heating and resolve plant failures
- Supporting plant improvement and remediation projects
- Completing maintenance reports and records
- Participating in an on‑call rota (1 week in 4)
Requirements
- Experience working within commercial plant rooms or mechanical plant environments
- Strong knowledge of commercial boilers and mechanical plant systems
- Experience working on pumps, valves and associated equipment
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Gas, Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience within district heating or heat networks would be advantageous but is not essential.

- Up to £49,000 basic salary
