Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies) and intrusive ground investigations
- Assisting with the planning and supervision of Phase 2 site investigations
- Carrying out soil and rock logging, groundwater and gas monitoring, and sampling activities
- Supervising drilling rigs, excavation works, and subcontractors on site
- Coordinating laboratory testing and interpreting geotechnical and environmental data
- Assisting with geotechnical assessments including settlement and earthworks evaluations
- Supporting remediation projects and validation works
- Preparing technical reports including factual, interpretative, and remediation reports
- Liaising with clients, contractors, regulators, and multidisciplinary design teams
- Ensuring all site activities are carried out in accordance with health & safety and environmental regulations
What We’re Looking For
- Degree qualified in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience within a geoenvironmental or geotechnical consultancy environment
- Good understanding of site investigations, contaminated land assessment, and remediation principles
- Strong communication and technical report-writing skills
- Ability to manage workload effectively and work to project deadlines
- A collaborative approach with strong attention to detail
- Experience carrying out site work and interpreting investigation data
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
