Energy Programmes is a new business unit focused on supporting the future of nuclear power. Our teams deliver support to projects such as Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, and Poland’s first energy power station. The role involves client‑facing and internal responsibilities across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out and coordinate review and acceptance of deliverables within the scope of activity.
- Produce building‑specific documents such as handover reports or hypothesis notes.
- Raise and follow up on building‑specific technical open points as the first point of contact for the L3 civil designer.
- Support the civil team lead and deputy for resolving transverse/complex technical open points.
- Assist the civil team lead, deputy and contract engineering lead in coordinating the design process with L3 civil designer and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate and carry out the resolution of building‑specific technical topics and track the evolution of these activities.
- Prepare progress reports for the client project manager and alert on any technical risks to the program.
- Review technical proposals for variations and assist the detailing engineering lead with building‑specific questions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment of EPRE objectives.
- Support the Minor Change Committee on NCC governance process when necessary.
- Serve as a single point of contact on building‑dedicated technical topics between CELs, CNEPE, L3 detailer and work package contractor.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering.
- Experience in a civil engineering design office, particularly in designing and detailing industrial reinforced concrete structures, with level of experience matching the service level required.
- Experience in the nuclear sector is advantageous.
- Ability to design reinforced concrete and provide RC detailing of complex structures using ETC‑C and Eurocodes.
- Knowledge of Eurocodes related to civil engineering and the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015.
- Experience in detailing and knowledge of 3D modelling using Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Revit.
- Familiarity with BIM standards and Revit family creation (added advantage).
