Job Vacancy: Field Service Engineer - Generators
Location: Mobile - Covering sites along the M25
Full‑time | Permanent
Salary: Up to £42,000DOE + Overtime + Company Van + Benefits
About the Role:
We\'re looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team, specialising in the maintenance, repair, and installation of diesel and gas generators. This mobile role will see you covering a range of commercial and industrial client sites along the M25 corridor, ensuring reliable power solutions for our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, fault‑find, and repair diesel/gas generators (typically 10kVA‑1000kVA)
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency call‑outs
- Diagnose engine, electrical, and control panel faults on site
- Install and commission generator units and associated systems
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and company standards
- Provide excellent customer service and detailed job reporting
What We\'re Looking For:
- Proven experience working on diesel or gas generators (FG Wilson, Perkins, Cummins, etc.)
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexible for on‑call rota and occasional overtime
