Are you an experienced and motivated Senior Town Planner looking for your next challenge? We're recruiting on behalf of a specialist planning consultancy based in Cirencester. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, collaborative team where you'll lead on a wide range of residential and development projects, providing expert planning advice and helping to shape the future growth of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and managing a varied portfolio of planning applications from inception through to determination
- Preparing and reviewing planning statements, supporting documentation, and appeal submissions
- Undertaking site appraisals, planning assessments, and strategic development advice
- Managing client relationships and acting as the main point of contact throughout projects
- Leading negotiations with Local Planning Authorities, statutory consultees, and other stakeholders
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the planning team
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 4 years' UK planning experience within a consultancy or local authority environment
- A strong understanding of UK planning policy, development management, and the planning application process
- MRTPI chartered status (or working towards chartership with relevant experience)
- Proven experience managing projects and client relationships independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong report-writing abilities
