Our Civil Engineering client operates throughout the UK delivering integrated solutions for projects in Water, Utilities, Rail, Highway’s and Energy.
Their Civils division operates within the water industry delivering non-infrastructure projects for Tier1 main contractors.
Due to continuous growth, they are looking for an Estimator/Senior Estimator to join their bid team.
You will work on a flexible hybrid basis from their Nuneaton office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process.
- Assist in developing tender strategies and compiling submission documentation.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand complex engineering drawings/ designs to develop methodology/ sequencing proposals with the wider tender team.
- Support the Commercial Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and tender submissions.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Review project risks and opportunities during the tender process.
Experience required
- Proven experience as an Estimator within construction or civil engineering.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction costing.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methodologies
