About the Company

We’re working with an innovative and growing engineering business on a mission to scale.

As they continue to grow, quality is a central pillar of their success - and they’re looking for a Quality Engineer to take ownership and elevate their approach.

The Role

This is a hands-on Quality Engineering role with a strong focus on both inspection and continuous improvement.

You’ll be the go-to person for quality on-site, working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure high standards are met, and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Manage the QMS.
  • Lead Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) from investigation through to closure.
  • Carry out hands-on inspections (primarily visual, with some use of measurement tools).
  • Validate and approve production technicians’ quality checks.
  • Analyse quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Implement and embed robust quality processes and controls.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve overall product quality.
  • Support the transition from reactive quality to a more proactive, process-driven approach.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong mechanical understanding - this is essential.
  • Experience working with NCRs, CAPAs, and root cause analysis.
  • A proactive mindset - someone who wants to improve systems, not just maintain them.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams.

Industry background is flexible - attitude, approach, and mechanical knowledge are key.

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to own and shape the quality function.
  • A role with real impact and visibility within the business.
  • Mix of practical, hands-on work and strategic improvement.
  • Be part of a growing, forward-thinking engineering company.
  • Autonomy to implement your ideas and drive change.
