A growing construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding infrastructure team based in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to take a leading role on large-scale infrastructure and capital delivery projects across sectors including energy, utilities, transport and heavy civil engineering.

The role:

  • Leading commercial management activities across major infrastructure projects
  • Managing cost reporting, forecasting, budgets and financial performance
  • Administering NEC contracts and overseeing change management processes
  • Supporting procurement strategy and contractor engagement
  • Managing commercial risk and ensuring effective project controls
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders
  • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members

Requirements:

  • Experience operating at Senior or Principal Quantity Surveyor level
  • Strong understanding of NEC forms of contract
  • Background within infrastructure, civil engineering, utilities or energy projects
  • Experience working on large-scale capital delivery programmes
  • Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management capability
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
  • MRICS qualified or working towards chartership desirable
