Responsibilities

  • Servicing a fleet of heavy material handling equipment, including straddle carriers
  • Servicing forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
  • Developing knowledge of a wide variety of equipment within a technically developing fleet
  • Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently
  • Working alongside the site‑based engineering team

Requirements

  • The company prefers candidates from a crane or forklift truck background, but this is not essential.
  • It considers candidates from plant, powered access and other related sectors provided they have strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience and an NVQ level 3.
  • Candidates should be efficient in reading schematic drawings and be ready to get to grips with new, complex equipment.
