Position: Process Operator (Chemical) – £37,900 – 3x Shift (Earlies/Lates/Nights) – Widnes
Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of chemical plant and equipment
- Follow detailed process instructions and complete process records
- Control and troubleshoot multiple production processes
- Include simple in-process analytical testing
- Regular manual handling of chemicals
- Periodic decontamination of equipment for statutory inspections
- Undertake First Aid training as required
- Participate in the site Emergency Response team
- Engage in process and EHS improvements
Person Specification / Qualifications:
- NVQ2 or equivalent
- Previous Loader/Operator experience (shift work preferred)
- COMAH experience advantageous
- Basic numeracy and literacy essential
- Basic computer skills advantageous
- Counterbalance FLT licence advantageous
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Kaizen & 7 wastes) advantageous
- Experience in the chemical industry is not vital but a manufacturing background would be advantageous
