Fortress Recruit is now looking for an experienced Contract Quality Engineer for an immediate 2-month contract inside IR35. This is a hands-on role supporting a busy quality team, ideal for someone with aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing experience who can quickly integrate into the business and make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer complaints, investigations and 8D/root cause analysis
- Produce FAIRs in accordance with AS9102 requirements
- Support PPAP activities and contribute to APQP projects
- Conduct internal, supplier and customer audits to AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
- Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support Quality Management System activities
- Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal manufacturing teams
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer within manufacturing
- Aerospace, defence or other highly regulated industry experience
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001 and AS9102
- Experience with FAIRs, PPAP and quality investigations
- Strong 8D and root cause analysis skills
- The ability to work independently and hit the ground running
This is a full time, site based role (37 hours per week) in the West Midlands, offered as a 2-month contract Inside IR35, paying a competitive hourly rate with flexible working arrangements.
