The Mechanical Pump Service Engineer with a pump background is required to repair centrifugal pumps whilst being hands on with excellent starting salary.

The Role: As a fitter you will be involved in dismantling, rebuilding and refurbishment of centrifugal pumps within the workshop and occasionally out in the field. You will be responsible for ensuring all inspection and assembly documentation is completed and procedures, policies and work instructions are followed.
- De‑contamination of pump units prior to inspection
- Dismantling, inspection and reporting of pump unit condition
- Assembly of pump sets
- Identification of spare parts required from drawings
- Compilation of findings into detailed inspection report
- Mechanical measurement of components and critical dimensions
- Electrical inspection of pumps
- Assembly of pumps
- Testing of pumps
- Diesel pumpset repair and maintenance
- Assisting within other departments when required
- Collecting/delivering of pumps/equipment if required
The candidate:
- Mechanical fitting background
- Experience repairing and/or fitting centrifugal pumps
- Mechanical qualifications
- Able to work within a small team
