We are representing a specialist engineering contractor with expertise in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of renewable heating systems, including ground source, water source, and air source heat pumps. The business delivers technically complex projects across a broad range of sectors, including commercial & industrial developments, agriculture, public sector estates, and social housing. With a strong reputation for delivering energy-efficient solutions and a growing order book, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to support continued growth.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of multiple renewable energy projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the full project lifecycle from design coordination through to commissioning and handover
  • Overseeing installation of ground, water, and air source heat pump systems
  • Coordinating internal design teams, engineers, and external subcontractors
  • Managing project programmes, budgets, and commercial performance
  • Ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards and industry regulations
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
  • Monitoring project progress and resolving any technical or operational issues
  • Supporting commissioning and final handover processes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within building services, M&E, or renewable energy projects
  • Experience delivering technically driven installation projects (heat pumps, HVAC, or similar systems highly desirable)
  • Strong understanding of project delivery from design through to commissioning
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs and variations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different locations

Desirable

  • Experience within renewables or low-carbon technologies
  • Relevant technical or construction qualifications
  • Background in sectors such as commercial, public sector, or residential frameworks
