We’re currently recruiting for a Process Technician role in the Bury St Edmunds area. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a manufacturing plant, overseeing equipment and processes from raw material intake through to finished product dispatch. The working hours are on a rotational basis of 06:00‑18:00 / 18:00‑06:00 and will include weekends.
Key Duties
- Operate and monitor equipment to ensure efficient production processes
- Produce finished goods in line with defined quality standards
- Contribute to achieving daily and weekly production targets as part of a team
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping within the production area
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies
- Support accurate stock control and inventory processes, including stock takes
- Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure effective plant performance and minimise downtime
- Communicate effectively with site teams to support production planning and material flow
- Take responsibility for personal and team safety within the workplace
Skills & Experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or processing environment
- Ability to operate or work alongside automated machinery
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- IT / PC skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of production and distribution methods
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
