MIG Welder required for a permanent day-shift role with a respected engineering firm. This is a permanent role with immediate start and competitive pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • MIG weld structural steel components and assemblies
  • Perform vertical butt welds and multi-run fillet welds in various positions
  • Weld very heavy gauge steel, including beams up to 45 tons
  • Operate overhead cranes safely for positioning and assembly
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Maintain high quality standards and follow health & safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

  • Apprentice trained MIG Welder
  • Proven experience welding structural steel
  • Multi-run fillet and butt weld experience
  • Confident working with heavy steel beams (up to 45 tons)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Experience using overhead cranes
  • Reliable, motivated, and quality-focused

Hours & Pay

  • Day Shift: 07:00 – 16:45, Monday – Thursday
  • Pay: £18.12 per hour
  • Permanent role from day one
