This specialist engineering and infrastructure delivery organisation operates within the high voltage grid connection sector, delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects across utilities, renewable energy and industrial markets, supporting the UK's transition to a low‑carbon energy system.

In this role, you will lead the testing, commissioning and energisation of HV electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring all systems are fully tested, compliant and safely energised while working closely with DNOs, TSOs, contractors and internal engineering teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead HV commissioning activities up to 132 kV
  • Undertake testing of protection systems, switchgear and electrical plant
  • Develop and manage commissioning programmes and documentation
  • Support energisation and switching operations
  • Liaise with DNOs, TSOs, contractors and project teams
  • Supervise subcontractors and site-based commissioning activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
  • Experience in HV commissioning within utilities, ICPs or power
  • Strong knowledge of protection systems and HV testing
  • Experience with electrical systems up to 132 kV
  • Understanding of commissioning procedures and energisation processes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel nationally and work on site
