Working with one of the UK's leading recycling and renewable energy manufacturers, you will be part of a maintenance team that focuses primarily on electrical or mechanical systems. This opportunity is for an electrical technician responsible for day‑to‑day electrical maintenance, preventive maintenance and emergency breakdown repair of all industrial plant and machinery, ensuring processing is not interrupted in a challenging environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven electrical experience in a heavy industry, manufacturing or process environment.
  • A recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship preferably with a City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to plan and work to tight timelines.
  • Knowledge of PLCs as well as older conventional plant machinery, pneumatic and hydraulic components.

  • Hours: average 42 hrs per week; 7am to 7pm (4on 4off).
  • Holidays: 17 shifts per annum (equivalent to 25 days per annum).
