Position: Building Fabric Engineer – Carpentry or Plumbing biased, Bristol area

Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and carry out reactive maintenance on commercial buildings, including repairing leaks, fixing doors/locks, and making good on areas of repair.
  • Execute small and minor works projects, such as refurbishing rooms and offices.
  • Replace existing fixtures (doors, locks, sinks, basins, toilets) with like‑for‑like items.
  • Upgrade floors where required.

Qualifications:

  • Certificates or equivalent in Carpentry or Plumbing (City and Guilds or similar).
  • Good skills in other trades (painting, patch plastering, tiling) and ability to perform DITY tasks.
  • Experience in multi‑skilled trades – essential; no training provided at start.
  • Open to time‑served tradespeople, general builders, or qualified builders wishing to move into maintenance.
  • Development of skills offered after settlement and passing probation.
