An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a chartered consultancy in Buckingham providing Quantity Surveying support services to some of the UK’s leading construction companies. The consultancy works largely on the contractor side, delivering refurbishment and infrastructure works across real estate, MOD, MOJ and wider public sector estates. Projects include social housing, central government buildings, commercial offices, defence estates and prison refurbishment.

The business has recently merged with a major international consultancy, giving access to global expertise and a large worldwide office network, strengthening capability and long term growth. The consultancy operates from modern, open plan offices with a professional team of more than 50 Quantity Surveyors, creating a collaborative and energetic working environment.

The Quantity Surveyor can choose one of the following working patterns:

  • 7.30 to 4.30
  • 8.00 to 5.00

The Role – Quantity Surveyor

The consultancy has opportunities to work on social housing refurbishment schemes and design and build refurbishment projects. The role is office based in Buckingham with regular site visits. The Quantity Surveyor will work within a large, experienced commercial team and support a range of clients on live schemes. Day to day responsibilities include cost management, valuations, variations, reporting, procurement support and general commercial duties across refurbishment projects. The role offers exposure to a diverse workload and the chance to develop within a supportive team. High level security clearance will be required for some projects. This will be arranged and obtained for the successful candidate as part of the onboarding process.
