About the Opportunity
EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Honing Engineer to join a Motorsport business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class motorsport and advanced powertrain manufacturer, working with high-precision components alongside engineering teams who operate at the very top of their field. Training will be considered for the right candidate with a strong manufacturing background. Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all applicants must be UK. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate honing machines to produce precision-finished components
- Work to tight engineering tolerances on cylinder liners, cylinder blocks and related components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to specification
- Use inspection equipment to check own work and maintain quality standards
- Maintain high standards of documentation and product traceability
- Collaborate with engineers to suggest and implement improvements to manufacturing processes
- Create and follow methods of manufacture
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the machining environment
Must-Have Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing honing environment (up to 5 years; 3+ years minimum)
- Ability to set and operate honing machines independently
- Good working knowledge of engineering drawings and tolerances
- Experience using inspection equipment for self-checking
- Strong documentation and traceability discipline
- A logical, methodical approach to problem solving
- Ability to work to deadlines and maintain quality under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
- Must be a UK — right to work in the United Kingdom required
Desirable Experience
- Experience working to AS9100 or ISO9001 quality standards
- Background in Aerospace, Automotive or Motorsport manufacturing
