Our client, a leader in the water sector, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Bristol. You will be working on water and wastewater schemes, contributing to their efficient and effective treatment systems.
Responsibilities
- Providing design support and guidance, ensuring designs meet current legislation and standards
- Collaborating with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop efficient and safe solutions
- Engaging with clients to manage relationships and support them in achieving their goals
- Managing the integration of civil design with other disciplines and documentation
- Acting as a technical checker and undertaking technical reviews for projects
- Identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes with standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools
- Undertaking site reviews to ensure buildability of solutions within existing systems
- Supporting the development of the civil engineering team, including mentoring and resource allocation
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Chartership (CEng) with a relevant engineering institution is highly desirable
- Experience in successful delivery of high-quality outputs in line with design, quality, and safety standards
- Effective communication skills with team members and stakeholders
- Methodical approach to problem-solving
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region
- Experience in water/wastewater is essential
